The Independent College is a new type of Further Education College for the UK.

We are passionate about providing outstanding education and training which meets the needs of our local communities - individuals and employers.

We combine that passion with a determination to be highly efficient in all we do.

At the heart of the new arrangements will be a new College Business Plan designed to enable a flexible, efficient and effective response to the needs of students and employers, combining a focus on the provision of high quality education and training with commercial good practice and financial independence from the state.

ICP was founded to enable more Colleges of Further Education in England to deliver outstanding education and training,

efficiently and effectively. The new model combines the benefits of employee mutualisation, federation and commercial good practice and will be a secure platform for developing partnerships with other providers of learning (especially in HE, FE and Schools).
